DETAILED ITINERARY:

 

 

Day 1: Hanoi Arrival

 

Upon arrival at the airport, you will be welcomed by our representative and transferred to your hotel for check-in. The rest of the day is free for you to relax and explore the city on your own.

 

 

Day 2: Hanoi City Tour (B, L)

 

After breakfast, start the day by visiting the Museum of Ethnology to learn about the different ethnic minorities in Vietnam. Next, visit the Ho Chi Minh complex, which includes the Presidential Palace, Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (outside only), and the One Pillar Pagoda. After lunch, visit the Temple of Literature, the first university in Vietnam. Continue your exploration of Hanoi by taking a cyclo ride around the Old Quarter to observe the daily life of locals. Finally, watch the traditional water puppet show, a unique art form depicting rural life and national history.

 

 

Day 3: Hanoi – Halong Bay (B, L, D)

 

After breakfast, depart for Halong Bay and embark on a cruise to see the amazing karsts with different formations. Stop for a walk through the Amazing cave and then have plenty of time for kayaking, swimming, and sunbathing. Enjoy a sunset dinner and overnight on the cruise.

 

 

Day 4: Halong Bay – Hanoi – Flight to Hue (B, L)

 

After breakfast on the cruise, visit a pearl farm to see the actual cultured pearls of the fishermen. Continue cruising to discover the hidden beauty of the bay before returning to the harbor. After the cruise, transfer to the airport for a flight to Hue.

 

 

Day 5: Hue (B, L)

 

Enjoy a boat trip on the Perfume river to visit Thien Mu pagoda, the oldest pagoda in Hue city, and then discover the Imperial Citadel & Forbidden Purple City where the Nguyen Dynasty ruled. After lunch, continue to visit the elaborate tombs of emperors Tu Duc & Khai Dinh.

 

 

Day 6: Hue – Hoi An (B)

 

Transfer by car over the most spectacular Hai Van Pass to Hoi An. En route, visit the Marble Mountain, Cham Museum, and the Stone Village. In the afternoon, enjoy a walking tour of the ancient town and visit a craftsman’s home to see how lanterns are made.

 

 

Day 7: Hoi An – Free at Leisure (B)

 

Spend the day at leisure to relax on the beach or explore more of the ancient town on your own. Or, you can choose from a range of optional activities such as a countryside tour, cycling tour, sunset cruise, Golden Bridge, cooking class, or a visit to My Son sanctuary (surcharge will be applied).

 

 

Day 8: Hoi An – Da Nang – Flight to Ho Chi Minh City (B)

 

Spend the morning at leisure before transferring to the airport for a flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel and spend the rest of the day exploring the city on your own.

 

 

Day 9: Ho Chi Minh City Tour – Cu Chi Tunnels (B, L)

 

Depart for the Cu Chi Tunnels, a maze of underground passages used by the Vietnamese communists during the Vietnam War. After lunch, visit the War Remnants Museum to see the old military equipment from the Vietnam War. Continue to visit the Reunification Palace, formerly the Presidential Palace that was the sight of South Vietnam’s surrender in 1975. Walk to see Notre Dame Cathedral and the General Post Office before finishing at Ben Thanh market.

 

Day 10: Mekong Delta (B, L)

 

 

Transfer to Mekong Delta then take a boat trip to discover Caibe floating market where local people sell, buy and exchange goods on their boats. Visit a village to watch the process of making local products, observe daily activities, enjoy Vietnamese traditional music then take a small sampan rowing by hand of a local to feel the real Mekong river. After lunch, visit a local brick kiln before taking another boat to Vinh Long, the center of tropical fruits and stopping for a short visit at a local market.

 

 

Day 11: Ho Chi Minh City Departure (B)

 

 

Depending on your departure time, you will have some free time to relax or further explore Ho Chi Minh City on your own before a transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
