Day 1: Ha Noi – Ba Be Lake

DETAILED ITINERARY:
Day 1: Hanoi – Ba Be Lake (L, D)
At 7:30 am, our guide will pick you up from your hotel to transfer you to Ba Be Lake. Along the way, we will stop in Thai Nguyen to visit the Museum of the Culture of the Ethnic Minorities of Vietnam before enjoying lunch at a local restaurant. Afterward, we will take a boat trip to explore Ba Be Lake, the largest natural lake in Vietnam, known for its diverse flora and fauna, beautiful landscapes, and geology. In the evening, we will have dinner at a homestay and enjoy a traditional music show performed by the locals.
Day 2: Ba Be Lake – Cao Bang City – Ban Gioc (B, L, D)
After breakfast, we will journey to Ban Gioc Waterfall, stopping to visit Cao Bang City for lunch. We will also visit Nguom Ngao Cave, a natural masterpiece, before heading to our homestay for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Ban Gioc Waterfall – Mat Than Mountain – Pac Bo (B, L, D)
After breakfast, we will visit Ban Gioc Waterfall, Truc Lam Monastery, and Huong Phia Thap Village. We will have lunch at a local restaurant and then head to Mat Than Mountain to enjoy the beautiful scenery. In the evening, we will have dinner and enjoy the rustic and peaceful life of Tay villages.
Day 4: Pac Bo – Khau Coc Cha Pass – Meo Vac (B, L, D)
After breakfast, we will visit Lenin Stream, Pac Bo Cave, and Uncle Ho Memorial House. We will have lunch at Bao Lac before continuing to visit Khau Coc Cha Pass, known for its magnificent 14-story views. In the evening, we will have dinner at Meo Vac and experience the ambiance of a border town.
Day 5: Meo Vac – Ma Pi Leng – Dong Van (B, L, D)
In the morning, we will visit the Meo Vac local market and Love Alley before embarking on a boat tour of the Nho Que River. The afternoon will include a visit to Ma Pi Leng Pass, known as the King of Vietnamese mountain passes, with an altitude of 1,500 meters. Afterward, we will have dinner and free time to explore Dong Van Old Quarter.
Day 6: Dong Van – Lung Cu Flag Pole – Ha Giang (B, L, D)
After breakfast, we will visit the Vuong Family Mansion and Lung Cu Flagpole, the country’s northernmost point, before heading to the Lung Cam Cultural Village. Along the way, we will stop for lunch in Yen Minh town and take in the views of Pho Cao commune, where traditional houses of the H’Mong people and lovely buckwheat flower gardens are found. We will end the day with a chance to admire the marvelous view of Quan Ba Heaven Gate – Co Tien Twin Mountain.
Day 7: Ha Giang – Tuyen Quang – Hanoi (B, L)
In the morning, we will visit Ha Giang City and its surrounding area before checking out and taking the bus back to Hanoi. We will have lunch at a local restaurant on the way, and you can expect to arrive at your hotel between 5-6 pm.
