DETAILED ITINERARY:
Day 1: Hanoi – Sapa by bus with a long trek to Y Linh Ho – Lao Chai – Ta Van village (L, D)
6:30 Depart from the bus station in Hanoi and travel to Sapa by bus.
9:30 Comfort break on the highway to Lao Cai city.
11:00 Second comfort break at Lao Cai city before arriving in Sapa.
13:00 Arrive in Sapa Town, enjoy lunch with local Vietnamese dishes and a traditional costume performance.
14:15 Visit Y Linh Ho and trek through rice terraces and Muong Hoa Stream to Lao Chai and Ta Van villages, home to the Day ethnic people. (Trekking distance: 9km – 12km , duration: about 4 hours).
6:30pm: Check into a homestay and experience the culture of the Dzay people, learn to cook local dishes and enjoy dinner in the evening.
Day 2: Medium trek to Ta Van – Giang Ta Chai village – Sapa – Ha Noi (B, L)
8:00 Enjoy breakfast prepared by the host family before starting a new trekking journey.
8:45 Continue trekking through rice paddies and bamboo forest to Giang Ta Chai village, home of the red Dao people. (Trekking distance: 4km, duration: 2 hours).
11:00 Trek through Giang Ta Chai Bridge to the main road, where the bus will take you back to Sapa Town.
13:00 – 14.30: Shower at the hotel, have lunch and some leisure time.
14:30 Meet at the hotel and travel back to Hanoi by bus.
15:30 Depart from Sapa and stop for two comfort breaks on the way.
21:30 Arrive at the Bus Station in Hanoi. The tour ends.
Things to bring:
Warm clothes, scarf and hat due to the weather being unpredictable, trekking shoes, sunglasses, sun cream, and insect repellent are also necessary.
