Phong Nha Tu Lan Cave 1 day

DETAILED ITINERARY:

Morning (07:00 – 07:30):

Start your Day 1 adventure by getting picked up and taking a one-hour drive to the Oxalis Adventure office in Tan Hoa, which is about 70 kilometers from Phong Nha.

At the office, you’ll receive a safety briefing, sign necessary forms, and be provided with the gear you need for the tour.

The trek begins after the briefing, with a walk through peanut fields and past buffalo and cows. You’ll cross a river and then tackle a short, steep, and rocky hill to visit Rat Cave, a small but beautiful cave.

Afterward, you’ll descend into the next valley, cross it on a flat trail, and reach the entrance of Hung Ton Cave. Inside, you’ll pass through a dry section, and then use a 10-meter ladder with a safety rope to descend. At the bottom, you’ll put on a lifejacket for a swim out of Ton Cave Exit.

Afternoon:

Exiting the cave, you’ll find yourself in a lovely jungle valley, where you’ll have lunch and time for swimming. After the meal, the trek continues with a short but steep hill climb, followed by a return journey across the flat valley, a river crossing, and a walk back through the buffalo fields to the office, where you can enjoy a cold drink. You’ll then be transferred back to Phong Nha, arriving around 18:30 to 19:30.
