DETAILED ITINERARY:
Day 1: Hoa Lu – Tam Coc – Mua cave (L,D)
7:30am – Our professional and friendly tour guide will pick you up from your hotel in a limousine bus for your transfer to Ninh Binh province.
10:30am – You will visit Hoa Lu, the ancient capital of Vietnam during the 10th and 11th centuries. This area is home to many ancient temples and relic sites that showcase Vietnam’s rich cultural heritage.
11:45am – You will indulge in a special lunch featuring a variety of local cuisines, including goat meat, fish, chicken, and fried rice. Vegetarian options are also available.
The highlight of the day is a bamboo boat excursion through Tam Coc, also known as “Ha Long Bay on Land.” You will visit three caverns after crossing the Ngo Dong River, where you will witness the spectacular cave system amidst the picturesque landscapes of paddy fields, rivers, and mountains.
Next, you can optionally explore the local life by cycling around the village. For those who prefer to relax, there is an option to rest at a nearby restaurant.
3:30pm- You will proceed to Mua Cave (Dancing Cave), where you will trek up to the Lying Dragon Mountain to enjoy the panoramic view of Tam Coc.
5:00pm – We will drop you off at your hotel or bungalow in Tam Coc, where you can rest after check-in. Dinner will be served at the hotel/bungalow restaurant, and we recommend exploring the Tam Coc area by bicycle or on foot for evening entertainment.
Day 2: Bai Dinh – Trang An (B,L)
After breakfast at the hotel/bungalow restaurant and check-out, the transfer car will pick you up at 10:00am to go to Bai Dinh Pagoda. Dating back more than a thousand years, Bai Dinh Pagoda is known as the ancient capital of Vietnam and is associated with many feudal dynasties from the Dinh, the Early Le to the Ly.
Lunch will be served at our local restaurant with regional dishes such as goat meat, fish, chicken, and fried rice, and vegetarian options are also available.
1:00pm – You will visit Trang An ecological zone, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with a stunning tunnel cave system containing 48 caves of varying sizes and shapes. You will take a thrilling 2.5-hour boat trip that passes through multiple caves mixed with spiritual ancient temples and pagodas. Trang An’s majestic landscapes were even featured in the 2016 film, “Kong: Skull Island.”
4:30pm – We will depart and return to Hanoi.
7:00pm – You will be dropped off at your hotel doorstep.
