Mai Chau cycling – 1 day

DETAILED ITINERARY:

Meal: Lunch, Afternoon Tea | Accommodation: Not included

7:30 – Our driver will pick you up from your hotel in Hanoi to begin the journey to Mai Chau. As you leave the city behind, you’ll pass through a stunning mountainous landscape and ascend a massive pass to reach the mountainous circus of Mai Chau.

10:30 – Upon arrival, meet your local tour guide and get to know the program for the day.

11:00 – Board an electric car for a scenic ride through the rice fields to Lac Village. Here, you will visit the Hoa Ban weaving atelier where you will learn the traditional weaving and embroidery techniques of the White Thai people.

You will also experience a hands-on natural dyeing workshop hosted by a local Thai woman. After the workshop, you will have a beautiful product that you dyed with your own hands to take home as a souvenir.

13:00 – Enjoy lunch with Mai Chau specialties that have been delicately prepared by your host family. After lunch, hop on a bicycle and begin cycling through the most beautiful routes in the Mai Chau valley. You will travel through authentic villages, rice fields, and crops. Feel free to stop at any time to capture the beautiful scenery or chat with the locals.

16:00 – Return to the homestay for tea and to say goodbye to your host family before heading back to Hanoi.

20:30 – Arrive back in Hanoi. The trip ends here.
