DETAILED ITINERARY:
Day 1: Arrival in Hanoi
Upon arrival, our representative will meet you at the airport and transfer you to the hotel for check-in. The rest of the day is free at leisure.
Day 2: Hanoi City Tour (B, L)
Visit the Museum of Ethnology to learn about the diverse life aspects of 54 ethnic minorities in Vietnam. Continue to Ho Chi Minh complex, including Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Presidential Palace, House on Stilts, and the One Pillar Pagoda. After lunch, visit the Temple of Literature, the first university in Vietnam. Enjoy a cyclo ride around the Old Quarter to observe daily life and see how people manage in the incredible traffic. End the day with a traditional water puppet show.
Day 3: Ninh Binh (B, L)
Transfer to Ninh Binh, a mysterious area of land, mountain, and river. Visit Mua Cave, the most picturesque spot in Ninh Binh where you will climb around 500 steps to enjoy an amazing panoramic view of Tam Coc, rice fields, and karst landscape. After lunch, take a traditional boat trip to visit Tam Coc, often called the “Halong Bay on land.” Late afternoon, transfer back to your hotel in Hanoi.
Day 4: Halong Bay (B, L, D)
Depart for Halong Bay. Embark on a cruise and start cruising around the bay to see the amazing karsts with different formations and then stop for a walk through the Amazing cave. There will be plenty of time for kayaking, swimming, and sunbathing after the cruise anchors at a clean calm sea. Enjoy a wonderful sunset dinner and overnight on the cruise.
Day 5: Halong Bay – Da Nang – Hoi An (B, L)
Enjoy breakfast while cruising on the bay before stopping at the pearl farm to see the actual cultured pearl of fishermen. Back to the cruise for check-out while the cruise will take you further to discover the hidden beauty of the bay. Take a cooking class on the cruise. After disembarking, transfer to the airport for a flight to Da Nang. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel in Hoi An.
Day 6: Hoi An Ancient Town (B)
Visit Hoi An’s vibrant market and ancient port to explore the rhythm of local daily life and savor the true color, flavor, and taste of the oriental. Enjoy a walking tour to visit the Hoi An ancient town. In the afternoon, free time to relax on the beach or explore more of the ancient town on your own.
Day 7: Bana Hills & Golden Bridge – Flight to Ho Chi Minh City (B, L)
Transfer by car then take a cable car to Bana Hills. Enjoy your walk on the Golden Bridge amid the foggy hills of the mountain and the gorgeous view of Da Nang City. Experience hill climbing train and visit some interesting places of Bana hills. After lunch, you are free to join a series of interesting games in Fantasy park. Then, transfer to the airport in Da Nang for a flight to Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 8: Ho Chi Minh City Tour – Cu Chi Tunnels (B, L)
Depart to Cu Chi Tunnels, a maze of underground passages used by the Vietnamese communists during the Vietnam War as protection against the American air raids. After lunch, visit the War Remnants museum–it exhibited the old military equipment from the Vietnam War. Continue to visit the Reunification palace, formerly the Presidential palace that was the sight of South Vietnam’s surrender in April 1975. Walk down to see Notre Dame Cathedral and General Post Office then finish at Ben Thanh market.
Day 9: Mekong Delta (B, L)
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Mekong Delta, known as the “Rice Bowl” of Vietnam. Upon arrival, you will take a boat trip to discover Caibe floating market, where local people sell, buy, and exchange goods on their boats. You will visit a village to watch the process of making local products and observe daily activities. You will also enjoy Vietnamese traditional music and take a small sampan rowing by hand of a local to feel the real Mekong river. After lunch, you will visit a local brick kiln before taking another boat to Vinh Long, the center of tropical fruits, and stopping for a short visit at a local market. Transfer back to Ho Chi Minh City for overnight.
Day 10: Ho Chi Minh City Departure (B)
Depending on your departure time, you will have some free time to relax or further explore Ho Chi Minh City on your own before a transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
