DETAILED ITINERARY:
Sleeping bus Hanoi – Ha Giang
You will be picked up at 19:00pm at your hotel in Hanoi’s Old Quarter by a comfortable sleeping bus, which will depart for Ha Giang.
Day 1: Ha Giang – Quan Ba – Yen Minh – Dong Van ( 140km – B,L,D).
You will arrive in Ha Giang at around 4:00am and have some free time to rest in a dorm.
Breakfast will be served at 8:00am, after which you will meet your tour guide and prepare for the tour.
Your guide/driver will pick you up at your hotel in Ha Giang and drive you to Dong Van, stopping at beautiful mountainous landscapes and terraced paddy fields, such as Heaven’s Gate, Bac Sum Pass, Fairy Mountain, and a White H’mong village that specializes in flax weaving. You will have lunch on the way.
In the afternoon, you will visit some more villages on the way and see the Vuong Chi Sinh Palace, which belonged to a King of the H’mong hill tribe. Afterward, you will arrive in Dong Van, where you will check into a hotel or homestay and have free time to explore the small ancient town.
Day 2: Dong Van – Lung Cu Flag pole – Ma Pi Leng Pass – Meo Vac (130km – B,L,D)
After breakfast, you will take a stroll around Dong Van Market and do a short trek to Don Cao, an ancient fortress built by the French during wartime to control the area.
You will then visit the Lung Cu Flag pole, the top point of Vietnam, and walk to Lo Lo Chai, a village of the Lo Lo people, one of Vietnam’s least-common ethnic minorities only living in this region.
You will then visit the Nho Que River and take a boat trip on the river to see the spectacular landscape of Ma Pi Leng Alley. You will continue driving to Ma Pi Leng Pass, arguably the most beautiful landscape in Ha Giang and in Vietnam. You will arrive in Meo Vac and check into a hotel or homestay.
In the evening, you will have free time to experience the life of the local people here.
Day 3: Meo Vac – Lung Phin – Duong Thuong – Ha Giang ( 160km – B,L)
After breakfast, you will take a short walk to visit Meo Vac Market before heading back to Ha Giang city, visiting some more diverse ethnic minority villages with many different things to see, such as rice terraces, palm forests, and bamboo forests.
You will arrive in Ha Giang city in the late afternoon, where you will take a sleeping bus back to Hanoi at 19:00pm.
You will arrive in Hanoi around 4:00am the next day, and the tour will end.
