DETAILED ITINERARY:
Day 1: Hanoi – Mai Chau – Village Stay
Meals: Lunch, BBQ Dinner | Accommodation: Traditional Stilt-House
7:30 – Our driver will pick you up from your hotel.
Drive to Mai Chau through the scenic mountainous landscape and end in the mountainous circus of Mai Chau.
10:30 – Meet your local tour guide and get an introduction to the tour program.
11:00 – Hop on an electric car and ride through the rice fields to Lac village. Visit Hoa Ban weaving atelier, where you can learn about the White Thai traditional lifestyle and participate in a hands-on natural dyeing workshop hosted by a Thai lady.
13:00 – Enjoy a delicious lunch with Mai Chau specialties prepared by your host family. Afterward, hop on a bicycle and explore the Mai Chau valley on the most beautiful cycling routes, through pristine villages, rice fields, and crops. You can stop at any time to take pictures or talk to villagers.
14:00 – Return to the homestay for some free time to relax in the reading corner or walk around Na Phon village. Enjoy a BBQ dinner prepared by your hosts before going to bed in the peaceful atmosphere of the village. With the ‘Village-stay’ experience, your overnight accommodation is provided by a local family in their traditional house-on-stilts. The sleeping area is set up with a single mattress, blankets, pillow, and mosquito net.
Day 2: Mai Chau – Tat Nang Waterfall – Hanoi
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Afternoon Tea | Accommodation: Not Provided
6:30 – Start the day with an early breakfast before getting on a motorbike behind an experienced rider to Tat Nang Waterfall, a hidden gem in the Mai Chau valley that flows all year round. Stop for a tea break and a swim or wait until you reach Phu Mau hot spring to soak your body in natural hot spring water.
12:00 – Have lunch with a Thai family in Chieng Xuan village.
After lunch, head back to Mai Chau and stop at Hoa Binh lake to enjoy the stunning views.
15:00 – Arrive in Mai Chau and have tea before saying goodbye to your host. Then, head back to Hanoi.
19:30 – Arrive in Hanoi, and the trip ends.
